Who are we?

We are history geeks (come on, that wasn’t hard to guess 😉), but let’s go down to detail and see what characters made up our crew:

The Developer 👨‍💻🤓

The Developer, aka Riccardo Polacci, is one of those IT guys who spend most of their life with 2-3 screens in front of them 🖥️, typing colourful gibberish for mere mortals. Ask him, though, and he would tell you that’s “code”.

His passion for history began when he was just a chubby baby who enjoyed his childhood building bows and arrows 🏹 as a Native American. It continued with his interest in Norse mythology, history and language so that in 2015 he decided to start studying Old Norse.

This project is his brainchild as he truly wishes to shed some light onto the Norsemen’s world. He committed to maintaining this blog running (thanks to his top-notch IT skills) so that the real historian can share his knowledge.

The Historian 👨‍🎓📜

The Historian, aka Michele Leandro Polacci, is the real history mastermind of the crew. As you can easily imagine, History for him is a daily business. Graduated in History at the Universidad de Málaga (UMA), he truly thinks he could do History for a living (shhh, don’t crush his dreams 🤫).

In the neighbourhood, he is known as “the giant with the dull book”, thanks to his two-meters high and his passion for books 📚. Books are, in fact, his best friends since childhood.

FYI, at the age of 10, he had already read his 1000-plus page book about Alexander the Great about 8 times (🏆).

After finishing his History degree, he joined this project out of his eagerness to share some of the knowledge he acquired throughout his young but dedicated life.

The Marketeer 👩‍💼💼

The Marketeer

The Marketeer, aka Alessia Floria, lives in her own Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde novel. She is, indeed, a Marketeer most of the time. Sometimes, though, her true nature as a Political Science and International Relations master graduate comes out 👾.

She likes talking and reading about History and Politics, her heart is set on Marketing, though.

She has just completed another MD in Digital Marketing. Now she wants to commit all her skills to maintain this blog and make it reach as many people as possible.

Our Mission

History Moments is born from our passion for history and our desire to share it with as many people as we can.

This fascination of ours has always pushed us to research and delve into specific subjects, not contenting ourselves with what the History books claim. We have always wanted to know more. We crave details.

This obsession for unknown details has meant that we decide to focus this blog rather on some anecdotes and not on the overall passages of History.

Should you share the same passion for History and details, do not hesitate to get in touch with us! We would love to have you join us and contribute to this blog.
